The 2016 Barolo Cannubi marries the sweet perfume of this highly regarded site with a good bit of tannic clout. Like all of these 2016s, the Cannubi is a bit rough around the edges today, perhaps because of its relatively recent bottling, about three months before this tasting. I would prefer to drink it over the medium term, as the tannins are likely to outlast the fruit. This is an especially hard, forbidding Cannubi.
